You're In Brookelynn: Brand New Pair of Roller Skates

Brand New Pair of Roller Skates

I've Got A Brand New Pair Of Roller Skates by Melanie Safka on Grooveshark

Since I had to work all night on Valentines Day, Skylar and I celebrated a day late out at the roller rink! It was surprisingly fun! Also, surprisingly hard when you haven't roller skated since you were 13. I didn't fall on my ass once though! (probably because I had Skylar to hold on to). A little sad when the majority of people there were 13-15years old, and skating like bosses. Seriously, like roll bounce shit.

Me and Skylar couldn't stop talking about how awesome it would be to go to a roller disco, all decked out in 70s wear and such. It would be so cool, all the dudes showing off their skate moves for the ladies. Haha!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of my outfit with the shoes and everything, because I loved it. Have you ever put on an outfit, and you just think to yourself "damn, I look kinda good!"? Well, this was that outfit for me. I've fallen in love with peplum tops lately. I just love how they can be dressed up and down; how they can be super fancy if they're in lace or something, or more casual, but still put together even if it's cotton or jersey. Love.

Funhouse mirror! Don't mind my abnormally large-looking thighs/legs.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

♥Brooke

  4. Cool date idea!

I worked at a roller rink for 5 years, and currently work at a bowling alley, so when I think of going on a date, my ideals are the "stereotypical dates" - 'cause I never get to go there otherwise, ha!
